Adsense preview tool

AdSense™ offers a useful tool allowing you to preview the ads on your pages before they actually become public. We wanted to emphasize this topic as it is sometimes overlooked by AdSense™ users.
AdSense™ Preview Tool came after over one year of “happy adsensing” (in June 2004). And it came as a handy utility in setting up the format of AdSense™ pages and as a great help for ads checking.

Installation

you can access the AdSense™ Preview Tool with a simple right click
You just add an entry in the registry of your Windows system. Yeah, that's right, unfortunatelly it works only for Internet Explorer 6.x or higher.
The result is an addition to the right-click menu: “Google AdSense Preview Tool”. You just simply go to the page you want to preview ads for, then right click and select the preview tool.

What Can You Do With AdSense™ Preview Tool?

Content Optimization

First as importance, you can check the relevance of your site to Media Partners Bot.
That is, allowing you to preview the ads that will appear on your AdSense™ page, you can see if AdSense™ interprets the theme of your page the way you want it.
So, you can make improvements as follows:

  • You should use this tool often to review which ads will show, especially when working at site updates, as the ads change as your content changes. They also change according to changes in Google's ads database.

Nice to Have...

  • ...the possibility to play with your ads as you please, and, beyond the toy, it's essential to know exactly what ads will show so that you can manage them as you please and optimize your content to improve CTR.
  • Also, nice to find out that the Preview Tool respects the ad block list of the web publisher on whose pages you have been using this tool. It filters out the ads in the ad block list of the publisher.

Too Bad...

...it's available only for Windows IE 6.x, as we've already mentioned.
